Thara Jaishankar, Managing Director

The School

Bound by an unwavering commitment to our missionary zeal of empowering young minds through quality education, we have been continuously striding under the aegis of Spring Mount Montessori School since 2008. The fact that we have shaped 1000 students speaks volumes about our quality and ability to adapt to ever-evolving education standards.

Distances have shrunk in today’s world and gaining international exposure has become an imperative for students to excel in school and life. Taking this into account, we have decided to upgrade our curriculum to the IGCSE board, and we are delighted to announce that we would be rechristened Ananta Veda Institutions School (AVIS). ( Rayapuram and Kangeyam campuses)

With innovative ideas, amplified agility, and renewed resolutions, we look forward to your continued support as we evolve to align with international standards.

Every child is like a seed which has the potential to grow if it is nourished with love and care under the right guidance. In the current challenging times it is essential that children should not only excel in academics but should also develop courtesy, discipline, smart personality, social sensitivity and be imbibed with the traditional values and culture of our country. Childhood is the best time to lay the foundation of the core values essential for the overall development of the future citizen of tomorrow.

AVIS (Ananta Veda International School) is a friendly school where each and every child is understood, valued and attended too. Equal attention is given to the development of the children both academically and in extracurricular activities like yoga, karate, skating, gymnastic, sports and other cultural activities, etc.

Year by year the efforts of all our staff and children have taken the school forward in terms of excellence. The school has progressed in leaps and bounds. Today we stand as one of the noted educational landmarks in the heart of Tirupur. We offer our students a stress-free learning environment which encourages creativity and critical thinking.

At AVIS (Ananta Veda International School) we are dedicated to exhaustive quality learning and are utterly committed to a continuous process of improvement for the benefit of the students. We are always open to refreshing views and suggestions which can add more value to the students of our school.

Best Wishes & Regards,

“To Understand life Is To Understand Ourselves And That Is Both The Beginning And The End Of Everything”

J. Krishnamoorthy

The whole task of education is to awaken the individual and to prepare them for life. That is done by making children feel FREE. Children are taught what to think And Not How to think.
Our educators are free from established patterns of thought. The teacher”s life is not only in the classroom but is involved with the whole outer world as well as inner struggles, ambitions and relationships. The aim of our education is not merely educating the child to read and write- to awaken their intelligence, to awaken the sense of responsibility, to encourage each one to find out their inner strength and develop it as fully as possible.

The pre-primary children enjoy The Beauty Of MONTESSORI curriculum. The Junior school students work with the curriculum designed by the school up-to Class V. English is the medium of instruction. Tamil, Hindi and French are the other languages the students learn. Montessori education is a system of learning started by Dr.Maria Montessori in 1906. The Montessori Concept of Education Allows the child to experience the joy of learning at an early age. It teaches the child Independence, responsibility and a sense of self-worth and accomplishment.
The basic principle of Montessori philosophy is that every child has within him/her the ability to develop their intellectual, emotional and spiritual power to the fullest. It recognizes the potential of the child which is developed and nurtured by means of a Prepared Montessori Environment and working with the Montessori Materials.

The Classrooms have a wide range of activities that bring the world of knowledge concept & skills to the child. When the child works in this environment it helps him to attain a sense of order. Inner discipline & self-control.

Every child who enters Ananta Veda Montessori Environment will embark on their own experience, full of memories from early childhood.

Practical life covers five basic areas to enhance the child’s early development of independence. Care of Person, Care of Environment, Care of plants and animals. Dexterity (small motor control) and Grace and Courtesy. They work on activities such as water pouring, shoes polishing, dressing frames, bead stringing, gardening etc., These activities help to develop concentration, coordination, order and cleanliness.

In the classroom, the child finds materials that are designed to develop the five senses. He learns the tactile and visual discrimination of size and shape. New vocabulary is introduced here (big, little, thick, thin, red, yellow, blue etc.,)  This enables exploration and discovery through sensorial impressions. Properly developed, these impressions can bring to the child a sense of order and oneness with his environment.

The Montessori mathematical materials provide a fundamental understanding of the number of functions. The children are first introduced to the quantities and symbols. These are tangible materials so they can actually feel and touch the quantities which are essential tools of mathematics. With these tools they are introduced to the functions of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. They go on to learn the decimal system for reading and working with large numbers, up to at least 4 digits with ease.

Active learning (Grade 1 & 2):

Active Learning is a form of learning in which teaching strives to involve students in the learning process more directly than in other methods through play, technology-based learning, activity-based learning, group work, project method. It is not teacher-centered, and it requires more than just listening; the active participation of each and every student is a necessary aspect in active learning. Students must be doing things and simultaneously think about the work done and the purpose behind it so that they can enhance their higher order thinking.

The Principles of Active Learning:

  1. Purpose: the relevance of the task to the students’ concerns.
  2. Reflective: students’ reflection on the meaning of what is learned.
  3. Negotiated: negotiation of goals and methods of learning between students and teachers.
  4. Critical: students appreciate different ways and means of learning the content.
  5. Complex: students compare learning tasks with complexities existing in real life and making reflective analysis.
  6. Situation-driven: the need of the situation is considered in order to establish learning tasks.
  7. Engaged: real life tasks are reflected in the activities conducted for learning.

Constructive Framework (Grade 3 to 6):

  1. Learning through meaningful reception – emphasizes the previous knowledge the learner possesses and considers it a key factor in learning.
  2. Learning through discovery – where students learn through discovery of ideas with the help of situations provided by the teacher.
  3. Conceptual change: misconceptions takes place as students discover knowledge without any guidance; teachers provide knowledge keeping in mind the common misconceptions about the content and keep an evaluation check on the knowledge constructed by the students.
  4. Social Constructiveness – collaborative group work within the framework of cognitive strategies like questioning, clarifying, predicting and summarizing.

Non-academic Activities :

We have an array of Celebration Days throughout the year–and that’s how we like it! From Color Days, religious celebrations, get together parties with parents and grandparents, we have a lot to celebrate!

Extracurricular Activities :

A complete education is impossible without sensorial learning and encouraging various forms of expression. In school, students learn a wide variety of skills to express themselves creatively. Students opt for activities which include Art, Clay work, Home-craft, Dance, Yoga, Chess, Silambam, Karate, Skates and Sporty beans.

Field Trips :

Our concept of Field Trips has been taken to the next level. Field trips give students educational experiences away from their regular school environment. Popular field trip sites include farm, nature centers, fire stations, petrol pumps, restaurant, departmental store, religious places and science museums. The purpose of the trip is usually observation for education, non-experimental research or to provide students with experiences outside their everyday activities.

Culture Classes :

Our concept of Field Trips has been taken to the next level. Field trips give students educational experiences away from their regular school environment. Popular field trip sites include farm, nature centers, fire stations, petrol pumps, restaurant, departmental store, religious places and science museums. The purpose of the trip is usually observation for education, non-experimental research or to provide students with experiences outside their everyday activities.

Traditional Games that are Now Forgotten:

Looking at the modern children, one striking difference between the childhood that the previous generation had and the one that this generation is having is the lack of Indian or native games. Traditional Games act as learning aids. They teach us many things while playing like to learn to win and lose, develop sensory skills, count, add, improve motor skills, identify color, improve hand-eye coordination and finally to have fun, naturally one play or watch a game to have fun.

Transport

Global Positioning System (GPS)

Our school buses are equipped with GPS tracking devices. These devices enable live tracking of vehicles and student’s movements on real-time basis. This is done to maintain a high level of safety for students inside the buses. You stay aware of the whereabouts of children at all times.

Real-time Information ensures:

  • Adherence to Schedule
  • Monitoring Driving behavior
  • Improved response time
  • Students dropped at right stop
  • Ensures no child is left unattended inside bus
  • Travelling in different buses (by mistake) avoided
  • Students handed over to right person
